Sydney logistics company, TGL, has partnered up with local charities around Australia to provide essential supplies to those who need it most. With the recent nationwide Coronavirus outbreak, TGL has donated pallets of hand sanitiser to those who need it most.
TGL has donated approximately 6,400 hand sanitisers to Australians in need.
TGL Director, La Chang, said “Supporting our community by giving back has and always will be a fundamental part of TGL. It forms a significant part in being virtuous both personally and how we behave as a company,”
“As the recent Covid-19 outbreak has rocked our nation, we felt compelled to assist where we could by donating hand sanitisers to those most in need of protection against the virus.”
Aiding in the nations hardest hit city, Sydney, TGL donated 480 500ml hand sanitisers to the Benevolent Society Hurstville.
The Benevolent Society Hurstville core focus is to assist family and children overcoming abuse or neglect in the Central and Southeast Sydney region. Focussing on ensuring children are living in safe environments and are supported to overcome the impacts of abuse and neglect, the program also works with families to overcome the stresses which led to abuse and neglect.
Lara from the team was thrilled to receive hand sanitiser that will be distributed to those in need.
Heading into Victoria, TGL partnered up with local charity, One Voice, to assist the homeless by donating 5 palettes of almost 6,000 hand sanitisers.
With a core mission to “Provide practical human services”, One Voice assists vulnerable persons by providing mobile showers and food trucks. They also focus on “Providing opportunities for a better future” for Australia’s vulnerable youth through their establishment of Elevate Housing.
With heavy restrictions in almost every Australian state, it is difficult for those in need to access proper hygiene and personal care products. This is why it is vital for TGL to support local charities that aid in this protection and our easiest way of giving back to our community. The hand sanitiser donated to the Benevolent Society Hurstville and One Voice Melbourne will be used to aid in the protection against Covid-19 in Australia.
