Our Journey : How We've Grown Over Time
Founded in 2014, Think Global Logistics (TGL) is an Australian-owned and operated Freight Forwarding company, headquartered in Sydney. As an international freight forwarding company, we provide a one-stop-shop experience for all your shipping needs across the globe.
We specialise in offering business-to-business logistics services, including sea freight, air freight, domestic freight, warehousing, and customs clearance to all industries. We lead the industry in delivering exceptional services to our customers by focusing on our people and technology.
A Message from The CEO
Freight and logistics are critical to our way of living. Without it we simply cannot afford the living standards we all have come to cherish and enjoy. However, it is also an industry that is poorly represented due to its blue-collar origins and as a result we rarely attract the talent we need to better and improve our way of doing things. And sadly, it took a global pandemic that is COVID-19 for logistics to be slightly understood by the masses and treated as an essential service. Logistics has been and will always be essential. So it is with this background TGL not only exists but thrives.
Firstly, focusing on our people. We hire better, we educate better, and we aim higher. We work as hard in keeping our people happy just as we do our customers and suppliers, from the many employee incentive programs we run to our working environment we always ensure our people is at the centre of our values. Because we are you and we treat each other like how we like to be treated.
We understand the importance of technology in our fast-moving world driving our behaviours and consumption patterns, this is why we have consciously chosen to develop our proprietary system fully in-house. This is so that we have better control and can react to the changing needs of our customers faster.
Thirdly whilst we love logistics and very nerdy about it, we understand our customers may not care for the technical aspect of what we do, even though it is industry norm believing that transparency means forced education. At TGL we SAY NO to this nonsense. Our customers are experts in their products and should remain so, their focus is and should only be on their business through careful management of their cost and margins. So, with this grasp of reality, we provide true transparency by delivering our services promptly, simply and a fee structure that gets to the point. The total freight cost. Because it is only with knowing your total freight spend without variables can you work out your margins and pricing your products better than your competitors. It isn’t about learning the laundry list of our industry jargons! It adds no REAL value. Finally, TGL has been paperless since day one of our company establishment, and our early adoption of cloud computing meant we didn’t need to run onsite energy intensive servers that adds to our carbon footprint. Furthermore, our commitment to our environment means we always have and will continue to make business decisions with reducing our carbon footprint wherever possible.
