Escabags is an Australian charity organisation that provides support and access to necessities for victims escaping from domestic violence situations. Escabags’ mission is to alleviate the immediate trauma of domestic abuse by providing free and effective access to ‘Escape Bags’ in communities, whilst connecting victims with resources and agencies to continue their journey toward survivorship.
The name was born through merging the core product ‘Escape Bags’ into ‘Escabags’.
The Escabags team builds ‘Escape Bags’ full of daily essentials that many victims leave behind when escaping a domestic violence situation, such as shampoo, conditioner, pocket tissues, toothbrushes, soaps, tea bags, and shower gel. Not only are these bags built for adults, but they also provide children’s bags including blankets, dummies, soothers, soaps, and small toys. This is to assist mothers escaping from situations that are harmful to themselves and their young.
As the official logistics partner for Escabags, we assist the team in distributing the Escape Bags on a continued weekly basis to various locations around Australia. We facilitate and organise the movement of the Escape Bags so that they reach those most in need. Supporting the Escabags team has allowed us at TGL to provide continued support to a vulnerable group and give back to the wider Australian community. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Escabags and providing support to those most in need.
TGL continues to support Escabags through attending their annual charity events. In 2020, TGL was a major sponsor at the Escabags high tea event. TGL is proud to announce that we are continuing this tradition by becoming a silver sponsor for Escabags 2021 ‘Mad Hatters’ High Tea Event on 15 May.
In addition to our sponsorship and logistical support, TGL remains committed to raising awareness about domestic violence and its far-reaching impact. Through our ongoing partnership with Escabags, we aim to amplify the organisation’s message and help further the vital work they are doing. We also provide resources and logistics support to ensure their operations run smoothly, allowing Escabags to reach more people in need across Australia.
