Paul Zalai of the Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) discusses the logistics industry with TGL!

Sydney freight forwarder La Chang discusses the state of the Australian logistics services with the Director of Freight & Trade Alliance, Paul Zalai.

The first of our new series of videos and podcast TGL presents ‘Back and Forth’ an open discussion with industry experts from all aspects of the logistics and supply chain industry. Our first guest has a lengthy career history throughout many facets of the logistics industry. His name is Paul Zalai and for the last 10 years he has spearheaded the Freight & Trade Alliance, “an influential advocacy alliance ensuring that our members are at the forefront of all emerging supply chain issues through our responsive operational support, professional development training, industry updates, commercial services and corporate events.”

In this discussion, Paul and La look back on his career leading up to the creation of the FTA. The pair cover public perception, or lack thereof, of the freight forwarding profession, especially when it comes to how food factors into the supply chain, and potential solutions to the industry’s technical skills shortage, all of which the FTA aims to tackle over the coming years.

It’s a candid chat about all things supply chain, freight forwarding, education and the roadblocks facing importers and exporters. It’s an educating experience for both newbies and stalwarts of logistics services.
